Job Title: Admission Counselor – K12 Schools

Location: School Campus

Department: Admissions & Outreach

Reports To: Head – Admissions / Principal / Director – Operations

Position Overview:

The Admission Counselor plays a key role in driving school admissions from Nursery to Grade 12 by building strong community relationships, managing prospective parent engagement, and coordinating the complete admission lifecycle—from lead generation to enrollment. The role demands strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills to achieve institutional enrollment goals and ensure a positive admission experience for parents and students.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Networking & Outreach:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with preschools, daycare centers, and local community organizations to generate quality leads for early-grade admissions.
  • Organize joint events, workshops, and student engagement programs in partner preschools to promote the school’s brand and philosophy.
  • Represent the school at education fairs, local events, and exhibitions to enhance visibility and credibility.

2. Admission Management:

  • Handle the entire admission process for both day scholars and boarding students, from inquiry to final enrollment.
  • Conduct tele-counseling, video counseling, and in-person meetings with parents to guide them through school programs, facilities, and fee structures.
  • Coordinate campus visits, tours, and interaction sessions between prospective parents, students, and school leadership.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of enquiries, follow-ups, and conversions using CRM or MIS systems.

3. Team Coordination & Field Activities:

  • Plan and execute field visits with the admission team for meeting new and existing parents, feeder institutions, and local influencers.
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing, academic, and operations teams to ensure smooth coordination of events and promotional activities.
  • Support the admissions head in preparing weekly and monthly reports, analyzing lead quality and conversion ratios.

4. Online & Digital Engagement:

  • Respond promptly to online enquiries, social media leads, and website chat queries with personalized communication.
  • Schedule and coordinate virtual school tours and online counseling sessions for outstation parents.
  • Work with the digital team to ensure all admission-related content, forms, and FAQs are up to date on the school’s website and digital platforms.

5. Events & Communication:

  • Assist in planning and executing open houses, orientation programs, school visits, and community connect events.
  • Ensure professional and empathetic communication with all stakeholders—parents, students, and school representatives.
  • Promote a positive brand image through courteous interaction and consistent follow-up.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Education, Marketing, Communication, or Management.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in school admissions, counseling, or educational marketing (preferably K12 segment).
  • Strong understanding of parent psychology, school systems, and local educational networks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local language.

  • Conversion rate from inquiry to admission.
  • Parent satisfaction and feedback from counseling experience.
